An oil on canvas, unsigned collective work from Brittany. Religious scene. Mary and the presentation of the Child Jesus. 96 x 133 cm. A tear and some missing paint. The stretcher is worm-eaten. No signature or date. Painted in the early 20th century, probably around 1910-1920. The canvas does not appear to be perfectly finished. The composition is classical, the colors soft and luminous. The features of some of the figures show the touch of a true artist who must have worked in collaboration with an apprentice or amateur. The whole is lively and pleasing.
