169 - FROMANGER (Gérard). “Change” (1976). Oil on canvas, titled, dated, and signed on the back, mounted on a stretcher. Work from the “Splendeur II” series. Dimensions of support and subject: 195 x 130 cm (a few fine scratches in the lower section, easily restorable). This painting depicts a group portrait of Marie-Odile and Jean-Pierre Faye surrounded by members of the magazine/movement Change. The work was exhibited during the retrospective “Couleurs nouvelles - Gérard Fromanger 1963–1983” at the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Caen in 1983. The work was received from the artist by Jean-Pierre Faye.
