Kent Klich Gaza photo album. Kent Klich's testimony. On December 27 2008, in response to Hamas rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army launched Operation Cast Lead. At the end of this offensive, on January 18, 2009, some 1,400 Palestinians, the majority of them civilians, were killed, while 13 Israelis died. At the same time, 2,000 homes were destroyed and 20,000 severely damaged. By photographing half-destroyed private homes, he shows how daily life can be turned upside down in a matter of hours. Klich's book takes on the look of a family album, inspired by a real Palestinian album. Text in English. Published in 2009 by Editions Journal. The book is bound in new, original shrink-wrapped paper, and is referenced in Parr & Badger 3.
