40 - CHAMPASSAK Tiane Doan on Via Pia, 2021. Twenty years after the attacks on the World Trade Center, I set out to find out how the Twin Towers had previously been used in advertising as a symbol of New York City, and I came across a 1979 advertisement for Pakistan International Airlines in Le Point magazine. It was striking to see how the shadow of a Boeing 747 cast onto the towers had a completely different impact before September 11. This publication begins with a photocopy of the PIA advertisement in *Le Point* and continues with a photocopy of that previous photocopy, until the image is completely destroyed in the middle of the book. From there, we witness a gradual, reverse rebirth of the advertisement, in a subtle reconstruction of the iconic towers.
