Rare tapestry purse in petit point, France or England, early 17th century, linen gauze fully embroidered with pink and lime-green silk and metallic thread in rosette motifs worked in reserve on an octagonal grid. Trimmed with four tassels of silk and silver-thread passementerie; twill lining; 11 x 13 cm. A similar purse is held in the collections of the Musée de la Renaissance in Ecouen, E.Cl. 13036.
