Weighted circular base supporting two chrome-plated vertical posts, adjustable counterweight mechanism, and an adjustable cylindrical reflector in black lacquered metal. Italy, circa 1970. H82 W32 cm Exceptional condition, nearly new, showing very minimal signs of use and handling. Electrical system is functional but should be checked for compliance with current standards. Bears the original label from the manufacturer LUCI – Illuminazione di Interni, with reference to Model 480. A rare Model 480 counterweight lamp, produced in Italy by LUCI – Illuminazione di Interni. Its construction is based on an ingenious balancing system combining two slender chrome-plated uprights, an upper counterweight, and an adjustable cylindrical reflector. The contrast between the chrome-plated metal and the black-lacquered elements accentuates the lamp’s graphic and mechanical character. This example is particularly remarkable for its exceptional condition, nearly like new, and for the presence of its original LUCI label indicating model 480.
