Curro Claret (1968) Hanger #7 Coat hanger Metal and reclaimed wood One-of-a-kind piece H34 W41 D30 cm Born out of an initial desire to encourage independent creation, the “Hanging with T300” series reinvents the coat hanger, a form explored here for the first time by the designer. This collection expands the range of applications for the T300 metal connector—a component designed by Curro Claret in 2010 to facilitate the fabrication of furniture (stools, benches, tables, or lamps) from reclaimed wood. Keen to test its viability, the designer first experimented with the system himself by assembling materials (primarily wood) gathered from the street, subjected to minimal processing and shaped using simple techniques accessible to everyone. Curro Claret (1968) Curro Claret studied industrial design at the Elisava School in Barcelona and later at Central Saint Martins in London. He began his freelance career in 1998 and has since undertaken a wide variety of projects. In addition to his practice, he teaches at the Elisava School as well as at other Spanish and international institutions. His work has been featured in numerous exhibitions, has received extensive media coverage, and has been honored with several prestigious awards.
