Nicole (1935–2012) and Michel Anasse (1935–2000), attributed to Wicker and lacquered metal stool Circa 1956 H 45 L 41 D 32 cm Good condition; some missing wicker visible in the photos This model appeared in the couple’s studio in Ménilmontant in 1956, and later at the Cabanon des Issarts. The Anasse archives contain a photograph of Nicole Anasse crafting an identical model. This stool is representative of French furniture from the 1950s. It can be compared to the designs of Audoux-Minet, Louis Sognot, Mathieu Matégot, Janine Abraham, and Dirk Jan Rol.
