JAMES TURRELL (born 1943) Mapping Spaces: Fumarole, 1987–1988 Aquatint, photogravure, etching, soft ground, and drypoint on Hahnemühle paper. A black-and-white composition depicting the dark silhouette of Roden Crater beneath a luminous disk, surrounded by a sky crisscrossed by fine, radiating lines. This print is part of *Mapping Spaces*, a series related to Turrell’s research on the site, light, and perception. Signed in pencil in the lower right margin. Inscribed in pencil in the lower left margin “I/X” (photographic reading), presumably an artist’s proof I/10, outside the numbered edition of 35 copies.
