Loïc Beuchet Fireplace mantel, ref. 3000 White-painted plaster By Loïc Beuchet for SEDAP H 145 L 145 D 33 cm 1984 In good original condition, with a few chips. This piece is part of the French design movement of the 1980s and 1990s, alongside works by Garouste & Bonetti, André Dubreuil, and Mark Brazier-Jones. It also reflects the resurgent interest in the 1930s and 1940s, spurred in particular by Andrée Putman. It evokes the work of Christian Bérard, Jean-Michel Frank, Alberto Giacometti, and Emilio Terry.
