Salted paper print, mounted on cardboard. “Bertsch et Arnaud” dry stamp in the lower left corner. 15 x 17.5 cm A rare menu dating from the early 19th century, from the collections of the New York Public Library, details the international culinary specialties of this establishment. From 1765 until its closure in the 1850s, the Hôtel des Américains was the center of the European gastronomic world. Its entrance was located at 147 Rue Saint-Honoré.
