Illustrations consisting of 60 separate plates and numerous in-text illustrations by Gustave DORE. 2 in-4 volumes bound in half ivory vellum with Bradel corners, smooth spines adorned with portraits and gilt lettering, original covers preserved. Paris: Garnier, 1928. 500 deluxe copies were printed from this edition on Marais vellum; this is no. 223. VERY BEAUTIFUL COPIES.
