Paris: Bourdin, n.d. (1839). FIRST EDITION featuring 18 woodcut plates, printed on mounted China paper, without text or printer’s name, and 65 vignettes based on Johannot’s drawings. Frontispiece portrait in monochrome of Abbé Prévost after Edouard Wattier. Minor tears in the margins on pp. 213–214 and 337–338, of no consequence. Copy in excellent condition, free of foxing.
