BOIGNE (Countess Eléonore-Adèle d’Osmond de). Memoirs—Tales of an Aunt. 5 volumes, in-8, bound in midnight blue half-chagrin, spines with fluted raised bands, title labels and volume numbers in red morocco, gilt heads. Paris: Émile-Paul, 1921–1925 (first complete edition). Portrait of the Countess on the frontispiece. VERY BEAUTIFUL COPIES. Untrimmed. Ref.: Fierro no. 169. The first edition published by Plon (1907–1908, in 4 volumes) was withdrawn from sale following a lawsuit, as the publisher had intentionally omitted portions of the text. The manuscript was subsequently entrusted to Emile-Paul, who produced a new unabridged edition.
