MENDINI, ALESSANDRO Title: "Aldebaran" Glass Floor Lamp. Designer: Designed in 1992. Manufactured by Venini & Co., Murano. Edition 0/50. Material: Achromatic, pink, and white glass with turquoise and blue striped inlays; metal; blue lacquer; synthetic material. Dimmer. Dimensions: Height 197 cm, diameter of the lamp head 48 cm. Mark: On the edge of the pink shade, the inscription “Venini A. Mendini Aldebaran 0/50” is engraved. Description: The slender, blue-lacquered shaft rests on a flat, round black metal base. The top consists of a slanted, multi-part lamp head made of hand-blown glass and metal. Concentrically arranged, disc- and bowl-shaped elements of blue and acromatic glass surround the central light source.
