René MAGRITTE (1898–1967). Signed autograph letter addressed to [André Bosmans]. September 23, 1961. 2 pages, in-8. René Magritte letterhead: 97, rue des Mimosas, Brussels Regarding his text *La voix du mystère* (The Voice of Mystery), which is to appear in Issue No. 4 of the journal *Rhétorique* that Bosmans is preparing: [ ] I see nothing that needs to be changed. The only ambiguity that seems to remain is an interesting one: the accompanying text has as its subject the attention given to mystery. If mystery is taken as the subject, the idea that a special feeling accompanies mystery seems to me worth retaining. Magritte details the contents of Issue No. 4 of *Rhétorique*, for which he plans to include several photographs of the painting *La Cascade*. He is scheduled to travel to London for the opening of two competing exhibitions of paintings “that I painted quite some time ago” [ ].
