PIETRO DOMENICO OLIVERO (attributed to) Market and Architectural Ruins Oil on canvas, 52.5 x 86.5 cm This painting is an early masterpiece by Pietro Domenico Ollivero, who was one of the most significant Italian artists of the Bambocciante school. The work, dating to the very early 18th century, is stylistically similar to several of the painter’s canvases already held in the collection of Pietro Mellarece, prime minister to Vittorio Amedeo II.
