In the archives of the Compagnia di San Paolo, a lawyer named Giacomo Ottavio Bonaventura Tonso is frequently mentioned in the early 18th century. Archival documents and city council minutes (the so-called *Ordinati*) show that Giacomo Ottavio Bonaventura Tonso was active in the Turin administration around 1710–1714. During those years, he held the office of decurion (a member of the municipal council at the time). He worked closely with prominent figures of Baroque-era Turin, such as the engineer and architect Giovanni Giacomo Plantery, overseeing the city’s management and expansion projects.
