Designed in 1971 by the De Sede creative team, this sofa is an interesting example of the versatility and functionality that characterized the Swiss firm’s furniture during the 1970s. Its modular structure allows the two seats to be easily transformed into a guest bed or arranged as a daybed, and then returned to their original configuration as a sofa. Upholstered in dark brown leather, it stands out for its generous proportions, understated aesthetic, and the artisanal quality characteristic of De Sede, a firm internationally recognized for its mastery of leatherwork. The patina acquired over time reinforces the piece’s vintage character and highlights the material’s elegant aging.
