FERNANDO RAMÓN MOLINER (Murcia, 1929) for Darro. Model M-220 desk, 1961. Walnut wood; brass. In very good condition. Measurements: 70 x 180 x 90 cm. Crafted from walnut with brass accents, this desk combines the warmth of the wood with the hallmarks of metal elements, creating a piece with a refined aesthetic. Its design reflects an interest in integrating furniture into interior architecture through balanced forms and functional solutions. Founded in Madrid in 1959, Darro was one of the firms that helped revitalize the Spanish design scene during the second half of the 20th century. Under the direction of Darío Corbeira, it brought together proposals from architects and designers who sought to move away from historicist models and embrace modern European trends. In this context, Fernando Ramón Moliner’s work reflects the gradual consolidation of contemporary Spanish design, attentive to both functionality and the expressiveness of materials.
