PETER PRELLER (Germany, 1940) for Tecta. Table lamp. Metal. In good condition, with visible signs of age and use. Features the manufacturer’s label. Measurements: 60 x 56 x 56 cm. This table lamp, designed by Peter Preller for the German firm Tecta during the 1980s, stands out for its architectural design and refined geometric form. Its structure combines a flat circular base, a cylindrical body with great visual solidity, and a wide, removable conical shade, creating an ensemble with a striking sculptural presence. Its production by Tecta is particularly significant. The German firm, founded in 1956 and closely linked to the Bauhaus tradition and modern design, has developed a catalog that combines reissues of historic furniture with contemporary designs of a distinctly architectural character. Peter Preller is a German furniture designer, interior designer, and interior architect whose career has unfolded primarily in Hamburg. Throughout his career, Preller has developed interior design projects for residences, commercial establishments, and professional spaces, collaborating with international firms such as Joop!, Lancaster Paris, and Jil Sander on interior design and commercial fit-outs.
