EERO SAARINEN (Finland, 1910–1961). Saarinen table in white Arabescato marble with a white base. The table is designed in 1957, The table has an elegant columnar base made of aluminum, which is combined with a round tabletop. Stamped with the "Knoll Studio" logo and Eero Saarinen's signature. Unused. With original packaging. Brand new. Produced by Knoll Studio. Measurements: Ø 51 cm. Height: 51 cm. The Saarinen table, designed in 1957 and manufactured by Knoll Studio, combines a circular Arabescato marble tabletop with a white aluminum pedestal. The stone’s gray veins create a natural pattern against a silhouette of continuous lines, with a central base that leaves the space beneath the tabletop open. This design explains its relevance to 21st-century design: it combines functionality, visual lightness, and a sculptural presence in a compact piece that adapts to various settings. Eero Saarinen studied in Paris and at Yale University, and taught at the influential Cranbrook Academy. He began his career in furniture design alongside Charles Eames, with whom he won the 1940 “Organic Design in Home Furnishings” award from MoMA in New York. He later developed iconic pieces for Knoll International, which are now featured in leading collections such as MoMA’s own.
