MIGUEL MILÁ (Barcelona, 1931–2024) for Gres Side table, 1968 Fiberglass; polyester resin. In good condition, with minimal signs of use. Measurements: 39 x 50 x 50 cm. Made of fiberglass and polyester resin, this is a piece of modern design characterized by the use of synthetic materials and a formal conception linked to experimentation with new technical and expressive possibilities. Its design reflects the innovative spirit of the 1960s, when the incorporation of industrial materials made it possible to explore forms and construction methods that broke with traditional craftsmanship. Miguel Milá (Barcelona, 1931–2024) was one of the leading figures in contemporary Spanish design. From his earliest works, he developed his own design language based on functionality, formal simplicity, and an attention to materials, making a decisive contribution to the modernization of design in Spain. His career was closely linked to the renewal of furniture and lighting design during the second half of the 20th century.
