LOUIS FÉRAUD, Set. Evening gown with thin straps. The bodice is entirely embroidered with sequins and multicolored beads in shades of midnight blue, turquoise, green, and purple, arranged to depict a city at night. Slit at the bottom of the gown. Black Louis Féraud label. Circa 1990. Size 44 A Riviera fashion designer who became a leading figure in Parisian haute couture, Louis Féraud made color and volume his signature. Brigitte Bardot, whom he dressed for some twenty films, launched his fame. He presented his first haute couture collection in 1958, alongside Dior, Balenciaga, Lanvin, and Givenchy.
