Perlin and Pinpin: original cover. 1966. 1 original plate (29.8 x 23.4 cm) in India ink and pencil with its coloring tracing (colored pencils). Cover designs signed by C. Dubois and Marie-Mad for the weekly magazine Perlin and Pinpin (No. 52, 1966, according to the annotations and the stamp dated October 25, 1966, on the reverse). The drawing features Titounet, Titounette, and their friends, as well as the dwarves Perlin and Pinpin, gathered around snowmen wishing everyone a “Happy New Year 1967.” Title in pencil on the artwork, registration marks, tracing paper attached with adhesive tape. Slight stains on the tracing paper, small corner crease, traces of adhesive tape on the reverse. Provenance: Marie-Madeleine Bourdin’s studio.
