Carved Wood Designer Armchair – Whimsical Zoomorphic Model – 20th-Century European Design Description: Original designer armchair made of carved and varnished light wood, featuring a particularly whimsical and sculptural design. The openwork backrest, with its undulating lines, extends into two rounded armrests. The slightly curved seat is embellished with several circular perforations. The chair rests on four slanted legs that end in shapes reminiscent of three-toed animal paws, giving the chair a whimsical, zoomorphic character. This original creation is in the spirit of European design furniture from the second half of the 20th century, combining organic forms with artistic imagination. Bears the handwritten initials “NR” in marker under the seat. Designer unidentified. Condition: Appears to be in good overall condition, with signs of use, small marks, and slight cracks in the wood. Dimensions and weight: H. 45 × W. 55 × D. 40 cm – 4 kg.
