Pair of Canton porcelain vases with Famille Rose decoration and gilded zoomorphic handles An impressive pair of baluster vases in Canton porcelain, with flared necks and polychrome Famille Rose decoration. The panels feature palace scenes with figures, alternating with floral arrangements and birds within gilded geometric frames. The neck and shoulder are embellished with applied handles and stylized dragons highlighted in gold. Late 19th-century Chinese work in the style of so-called “Canton” export porcelain. Visible crack on the neck of one of the vases. Details: Height: 35 cm – Width: 16 cm – Total weight: 5.30 kg.
