DELICATE SEEDPEARL NECKLACE Origin: France. Date: Presumably ca. 1910. Material: 750/- yellow gold, hallmarked. Lobster clasp 333/- yellow gold, tested. Weight: 16 g. Measurement: Length 42.6 cm. Organic Matter: 7 small seed pearls, Ø 3.0–3.7 mm. Description: French fineness hallmark. A delicate linked chain with a central section comprising seven semicircular elements arranged in ascending order of size. They are decorated with openwork floral motifs, and each is set with a seed pearl entwined by gold bands. The lobster clasp was added at a later date.
