DELICATE ART DÉCO DIAMOND BROOCH Date: ca. 1915/1920. Material: Platinum, hallmarked. Weight: 14.5 g. Dimensions: 6.2 x 2.0 cm. Diamonds: 1 old-cut diamond in the center, approx. 1.6 ct., K-L/P; approx. 184 diamonds in baguette, carré, old, and 8/8 cuts, totaling approx. 3.6 ct., H-K/VS-P. Description: In true Art Deco style, the numerous small diamonds are set within delicate millegriffe work; the brooch’s design is geometric at the edges, becoming increasingly floral toward the center. The delicate cutouts in platinum surrounding the central diamond create the illusion of a graceful floral motif—a stylistic detail that reflects the transition from the Belle Époque to Art Deco. An exceptionally finely crafted brooch of timeless elegance, presumably with French fineness hallmarks on the pin.
