From the Sotheby’s London auction of March 23, 1983, lot 182, sold as “Follower of Marco Ricci.” The painting shares compositional similarities with another tempera work published on p. 240 of the exhibition catalog *Marco Ricci and the Venetian Landscape of the Eighteenth Century*, held in Belluno in 1993 and curated by Dario Succi and Annalisa Delneri.
