Artemidorus. *Les jugements astronomiques des songes*. Rouen and Paris: d’Houry, 1664. Dreams and Divination in the Seventeenth-Century Astrological Tradition Artemidorus. Les jugements astronomiques des songes. Rouen and Paris, d’Houry, 1664. 12mo (130 x 75 mm); [22], 305, [1] pages. Woodcut vignette on the title page (browning and ink stains on the title page). Contemporary binding in hazelnut-colored calfskin, with a dry-stamped fillet border on the covers, a 5-rib spine with gold decoration and title, and red edges. The edition is supplemented by a treatise on omens by Agostino Nifo and a text on divination by Antoine du Moulin; the latter is absent from this copy, perhaps due to a different editorial arrangement. This volume is related to the previous lot, dedicated to Aristotle’s *Parva naturalia*, which also addresses sleep, dreams, and divination. Both works reflect an attempt to interpret the world of dreams as a tool for understanding reality and glimpsing the future.
