Printer’s marks on the title page and at the end of the volume; woodcut decorations, diagrams, and plates in the text engraved on wood (restorations to the margins of the first and last leaves; a few stains; small woodworm holes). Contemporary binding in soft full parchment, title handwritten on the spine. A famous edition of Euclid’s *Elements*, the foundation of Western geometry and one of the most influential scientific texts in European culture. This copy is missing the three pages containing Philip Melanchthon’s introduction, which were removed by censors. Reprint of the 1537 edition, with the same collation
