Allegorical frontispiece, printer’s mark on the title page printed in red and black type, portrait of the author, a folded genealogical chart, full-page illustrations including the Ghirlandina Tower, woodcuts (with occasional foxing.) 19th-century binding in stiff cardboard lined with marbled paper, blue spray-painted edges (spine restored). Ownership stamp of Oreste Battistella. A beautiful, fresh copy of the second edition—printed the same year as the folio edition—of the famous heroic-comic poem, featuring woodcut plates instead of copper engravings.
