Marozzo, Achille. *Opera Nova*, A highly faithful Venetian reprint of the first edition Another copy of Achille Marozzo’s *Opera Nova*, with a woodcut title page and 125 of the original 148 leaves, in a binding dating from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries and bearing the ex libris of attorney Vincenzo Marini, whose library was sold and dispersed at auction in 1896. This is the Venetian edition printed in 1550 by Giovanni Padovano for Melchiorre Sessa, a reprint that is particularly faithful to the 1536 Modena edition, from which it essentially reproduces the typographic layout and illustrations. The numerous woodcuts accompanying the text are, in fact, printed from the blocks originally carved for the first edition, thus offering a rare visual continuity between the two editions.
