1972 YAMAHA 650 XS • French vehicle registration certificate • Serial number: 8650128149 • No technical inspection Inspired by the tradition of British twin-cylinder motorcycles, the Yamaha 650 XS is powered by a 653 cm³ air-cooled, 360°-banked, four-stroke parallel-twin engine mated to a 5-speed transmission. The 1972 model (type XS-2 / XS650B) introduced major upgrades, notably the addition of a front disc brake, an electric starter paired with a kick starter, and a reinforced rigid double-cradle steel frame. The model shown is original and unrestored. It will need to be brought back into running condition.
