1975 MOTOBÉCANE D55 • French vehicle registration certificate • Serial number: 55005267 • No technical inspection Designed under the direction of engineer Éric Jaulmes and produced between 1974 and 1977 to compete with Italian sports mopeds, the Motobécane D55 is powered by a 49.9 cm³ single-cylinder two-stroke engine paired with a 5-speed foot-shifted transmission. Its chassis stands out for its Shimano hydraulic front disc brake and retractable footrests that lock into place during normal riding. The model shown is original and unrestored. It will require some work to get it running again.
