1954 GUZZI FALCONE SPORT • Standard French vehicle registration certificate • 4 owners since 1971 • Completely restored in 2021 by a specialist • One of 5 examples prepared by Gamba Dolza Prepared by the Gamba Dolza garage shortly after it left the factory, this Moto Guzzi—derived from a Falcone Sport—is one of five units marketed under the name “Faenza,” intended specifically for the Milan-Taranto (1,283 km in a single stage). Its original modifications include: a lightweight crankshaft and flywheel, modified compression ratio, a Dell’Orto SSI 35 carburetor with a separate float chamber, a 220-mm Salvei front brake, larger fuel and oil tanks, special handlebars, rear-set controls, and custom fenders and seat. Well-documented, it has had only four owners since 1971 and was fully restored in 2021 by a brand specialist, sparing no expense. Displayed at the Matra Museum in 2024, it is registered with a standard vehicle registration certificate and is fully roadworthy. Its October vehicle inspection report notes only one minor defect related to the absence of rear footrests.
