1932 TERROT FLG Serial number 163204 Engine number 22382 To be registered as a collector's vehicle No technical inspection required Produced from 1931 to 1934, the TERROT FLG 250 (“LG” for Légère) ranks among the rarest and least well-known models from the Dijon-based brand, appearing very rarely in period documentation or advertising. Powered by a 250 cm³ single-cylinder two-stroke engine with dual exhaust outlets and a three-speed transmission, the motorcycle shown here stands out from the production model due to two major technical features: the rear brake lever positioned on the right side and, most notably, a break-type dynamo ignition system in place of the traditional magneto. This specific setup includes a dedicated drive housing with a breaker, a dynamo, and its battery mount. Documented in the press of the time and reproduced in Bernard Salvat’s reference work (page 313), this technical solution was promoted by Terrot to provide low-cost electric lighting on a small-displacement motorcycle. While it is unclear whether this variant was ever actually marketed, this example is very likely the prototype or the only known surviving example to date in this configuration. The motorcycle is preserved in its complete, unrestored original condition, featuring a uniform period patina.
