Two small tears in the paper on the spine of the binding. A rare catalog of the exhibition held at the Jean Loize bookstore gallery in the spring of 1949, featuring 30 art bookbindings created by Paul Bonet based on Guillaume Apollinaire’s *Calligrammes*. A one-time, non-commercial print run of 100 numbered copies on Arches vellum, signed by Paul Bonet and Jean Loize on the proof sheet. Conceived by Paul Bonet as a workshop prototype, the collection features the industrial “integral” spiral binding patented by Prache. Jean Loize’s introductory text, titled “Magie des alphabets,” invites us to immerse ourselves in the 30 photographs taken by the Chevojon brothers. A physical description of the bindings and a table of contents are provided at the end of the volume. A fresh copy, in fine condition and complete with the invitation card to the exhibition’s opening reception.
