Remnants of an illegible name marking on the inner rim of the shell. 70% of the paint remains. Name “Albert Crew” stenciled on the helmet. The numbers “3” are visible on the sides of the shell. Another name, “Smith,” is marked on the back of the shell. The paint appears to be varnished. Liner made of high-pressure composite material, manufactured by Firestone. Complete canvas liner. Leather sweatband, dated 1945. Neck guard present, as well as the leather chin strap. 90% of the OD paint remains. Blue paint marking “5713.” Note some wear and patina on the piece. Condition II+.
