"Patron of Art Hommage à Marquise de Pompadour" fountain pen, MONTBLANC, 2001. Limited and numbered edition. No. 2921/4810. Gold-plated metal barrel with white lacquer accents and a hand-decorated Meissen porcelain cap. 18-karat (750) gold nib. Piston-fill system. Comes with original case, outer box, and documentation. New, never used. This edition is one of the most refined creations in Montblanc’s Patron of Art series, dedicated in 2001 to Jeanne-Antoinette Poisson, Marquise de Pompadour, a prominent patron of the arts at the court of Louis XV. The 4810 version combines a gold-plated body with delicate bands of white lacquer and a cap crafted from Meissen porcelain, decorated with a hand-painted rose in sepia and gold tones. The choice of porcelain is a deliberate nod to the Marquise’s interest in this material and her close ties to the artistic workshops of her time.
Delivery is optional. You can use the carrier of your choice. The stated price does not include the lot price or the auction house fees.
