Pocket watch. Made of silver. Circular white porcelain dial, mercury-gilded Louis XIV-style hands with gold applied hour markers, Roman numerals for the hours, Arabic numerals for the minutes, and a continuous seconds hand at 6 o’clock. Circular case with a middle and bezels engraved with plant motifs and a back cover decorated with floral motifs. Mineral glass. Hand-wound movement with a cylinder escapement. It works, but needs servicing. Measurements: 40 mm (dial diameter); 50 mm (case diameter). Weight: 82 g. Provenance: Family bequest of Ramon Martí Alsina and Ricard Martí Aguiló. An art and heritage collection originating from the legacy of the Catalan painters Ramon Martí Alsina (1826–1894), a key figure in 19th-century Catalan realism, and his son Ricard Martí Aguiló (1857–1935).
