PORTO RICH'K - c. 1940–50 Original polychrome resin countertop advertising piece, bas-relief style. Approximately 32 x 27 x 9 cm. Good condition - Original colors are particularly fresh, vivid, and very well preserved. No notable damage or structural defects to report on the resin (except for the guide pin, which is missing due to wear). Note: there are faint traces of moisture localized only at the bottom of the upper section, with no major aesthetic impact on the display. Depicts a Portuguese winegrower in traditional costume, holding a goad (missing here) and guiding a team of two oxen. The oxen are pulling a rustic wooden cart loaded with a barrel of port. Next to her is a pre-formed recess designed to hold a bottle of port in situ. Port wine is a fortified wine produced exclusively in the Upper Douro wine region of Portugal.
