PÂTES LA POULE - c.1930 “Gilibert & Tezier” Very rare original flat, rimmed enamel advertising thermometer with an integrated grid. 110.5 x 25.3 cm. “Emaillerie Alsacienne Strasbourg” - Excellent condition - The original colors are beautifully defined, fresh, luminous, and deep, with the red pigments fully preserved. The original luster is absolutely perfect across the entire surface. There is a small chip in the lower right corner and two faint marks on the left and right margins in the white areas (resembling superficial scratches). The glass capillary tube has been replaced and is fully functional. Set against an intense blue background, the design is strikingly effective. It features a hen flanked by two packages of pasta, evoking the house specialty: egg pasta. Founded in the late 19th century, the Vermicellerie Gilibert & Tézier was established on Rue Chorier in Valence. The initial partnership between the Gilibert and Tézier families evolved over the course of the 20th century. From 1925 through 1975, the Tézier family took sole control of the company and expanded its industrial operations throughout the southeastern region, notably in Valence, Avignon, Marseille, and Bédarrides.
