SOCIÉTÉ INDUSTRIELLE DES TÉLÉPHONES - c.1910-20 A rare and elegant original lithographed advertising card, featuring a lively seaside scene. The lithograph depicts an elegant woman seated by the sea, against a backdrop of dunes and a tennis court. 36.3 x 27 cm. “Société d’imprimerie Ch. Verneau – 25 rue Ducouédic, Paris” In fine condition. - The colors remain bright, fresh, and vivid, with superb original luster. There is a very slight crease in the lower left corner, which is entirely minor and does not affect the visual quality of the illustration. Founded in 1894, the Société Industrielle des Téléphones (S.I.T.) initially specialized in electrical equipment and telecommunications cables. With extensive rubber processing and vulcanization facilities (particularly at its factories in Bezons)—essential for insulating its cables—the company diversified its market reach in the early 20th century to target the consumer market. It then began designing lines of lightweight canvas shoes and technical models for the rapidly growing outdoor sports (tennis, golf). Paris/Île-de-France
