VALL-OIL OIL - c.1954 Signed “André BERMOND54” Original offset-printed advertising sheet metal, die-cut in the shape of a rugby player. Approximately 45 x 23.5 cm. “EGDA” (Etablissement G. De Andreis) Exceptional condition— This piece stands out for its fantastic, vivid, and deeply saturated colors, which have retained a dazzling brilliance just as they did on the first day. This piece has never been displayed, making it a rare opportunity to acquire an authentic vintage item in “brand-new” condition. The Valloil brand was created by Marseille industrialist Félix Vallier. The company’s headquarters were located at 152 Avenue du Prado in Marseille. In 1954, the French national rugby team achieved the historic feat of winning the Five Nations Tournament for the very first time in its history, defeating the legendary All Blacks of New Zealand.
