MOTORCYCLE REPAIR SHOP - c.1920 Stunning original domed enamel garage sign. 32 cm in diameter. This rare, circular, domed enamel sign is in excellent condition and retains its original luster. The colors stand out against a blue background of spectacular depth, offering a striking contrast to the white embossed lettering, which is further enhanced by the sign’s pronounced curvature. The arrangement of the words “Cycles” and “Moto-Réparation,” which perfectly follows the sign’s contours, gives the piece a remarkable visual impact. A piece of superb condition, complete with its original central mounting eyelet. For the sake of complete transparency, we note very slight superficial micro-scratches located between the O and the T in the word “Motos.” These types of signs were mounted at the entrance to garages to inform motorists that they could have their two-wheeled vehicles repaired or serviced there.
