Rudolf Wolf, Old Drinker A half-length portrait of an old drinker in historical costume, drinking from a pewter jug, gazing at the viewer with a contorted face and closed eyes; a typical example of bourgeois painting from the 1920s and 1930s in the tradition of Eduard Grützner, oil on wood, signed ‘Rud. Wolf’ and marked ‘Munich’, slight signs of ageing, in the original period frame, inner dimensions 21 x 16 cm.
