Gusta Rauch, "Chrysanthemums" magnificent white and pink chrysanthemums, in a tall Art Deco vase on a brass tray, against a dark background, slightly impasto floral painting, oil on canvas and stretcher, 1920s, indistinctly signed ‘G. Rauch", on the reverse of the stretcher an old artist’s label reading "Gusta Rauch Ismaningerstr. 78/3 - ‘Chrysanthemums’ 450M", slight signs of age, unframed, dimensions approx. 75 x 60 cm. Artist information: German floral and still-life painter, member of the Reich Association of Visual Artists of Germany, mentioned as working in Munich around 1930, created designs for floral postcards for Hermann A. Wiechmann’s publishing house in Munich; source: Dressler 1930 and the internet.
