Artist information: German painter (1938 Leipzig - 2004 Leipzig), 1952-54: apprenticeship as a bricklayer and worked in this profession until 1972; from 1954: self-taught in painting; from 1956: acquaintance with Walter Bodenthal, Emil Koch and Heinz Müller; 1966-68: attended drawing classes with Thomas Weise and Max Gerhard Uhlig; from 1972: member of the VBK (Association of Visual Artists) of the GDR; from 1977 until the end of his life: suffered from recurring serious illnesses; works in various collections and museums; source: Internet.
